وہ انسان کا بہترین ساتھی ثابت ہوتے ہیں
گر بدگمانی وار نہ کرے ان پر۔
لیکن اگر ان پر،
وار ہو دستِ انا کا،
 برپہ ہو طوفان تلخیوں کا،
تو جن رشتوں پر کبھی آپ کو فخر ہوا کرتا تھا،
وہی آپ کی سب سے بڑی کمزوری بن جاتے ہیں!
یہ کہانی بھی ان ہی خالص رشتوں کی ہیں،
جس پر الم نے اپنی موہر لگائی،
اور ان کی پاکی کو پامال کر ڈالا!
کیا ان کو اب کوئی بچانے والا تھا؟
کیا امید کی کرنیں’ اب بھی باقی تھیں؟
